What she does and sacrifices for him… beautiful, just beautiful! They can’t send him back to the asylum if he marries a girl of good family and knocks her up! I have read lots, and lots, of historical romances and this is now one of my favorites. Repetition of images, phrases, words even, works to make the experience of reading almost hypnotic, drawing the reader in. This book will wring you emotionally dry – these two protagonists are defined as much by their flaws as by their strengths, and those flaws are not “fixed” by the end of the novel.

I have been going through a horrible book slump, feeling apathetic about reading. But instead of turning to him, she gives him the cold shoulder.
I truly believe that had to do with listening to the book and not reading it. I spent the whole book with a stupid and silly smile on my face. That makes laufa a romance.

So that was the first arc of the book — Maddie as advocate for Christian inside the asylum. The Duke of Jervaulx was brilliant – and dangerous.
I found Christian I wanted flowrs like this book, I really did. Maddy’s “Quakerness” bugged me to no end –all that thee-thou-thy crap was irritating. Needless to say, it was another very late night staying up to see what on earth was going to happen next! But she can be a very difficult heroine to like or empathise with. It immediately set up one of my bulletproof kinks: Very few books make me cry, but this one did.

It never disappoints no matter how many times I read it. I have been thinking about this for a few days. I kept looking at it, thinking I should make a beginning.

His mother annoys him with her endless preachy piety, which puts him firmly in the rakehell camp, but other than that, life is good. Flores en la tormenta es el mejor libro que he leido en mi vida. Some which were touted as being the best of the genre were mediocre, formulaic or silly.
Reading now, as a seasoned therapist, your grasp of the issue and point of view of the patient is fantastic. I have always been interested in stories of medicine, illness, and messy, unconventional love, and oh how Flowers from the Storm delivers.
